I love that mixed media art can be a combination of ANY number of different art supplies. This combo of markers and pencils is a knock-out!! I use it all the time for rendering portraits. But no matter how easy your art materials are and how fun to use, there's no fix for a super complicated piece and this unique face was a HUGE challenge for me!! However, I persevered with LOTS of layers and she came through beautifully at the end (or so I like to think!!). There IS a real-time version of this portrait as a lesson and it can be found in the Whimsical Women of the World Classroom in side the Fun Fab Drawing Club. Here's more info about that: https://awesomeartschool.com/p/ffdcinfo This face, along with 14 other striking women, can also be found in my book, How to Draw Whimsical Women of the World: https://amzn.to/3tVo0MZ (all 14 projects also taught in real-time in my Drawing Club). This Burmese babe was created with the following colors and supplies: Copic Skin Colors Used: E01, E21, E30, E53, E95, E81, E31, E51, R01, R12 Please do NOT be daunted by this list. I just grab things!!! You can absolutely do the same. Remember: Good skin tone with markers is a result of a CULMINATION of many layers of different shades of colors. There IS no right combination. You can mix and match your colors and tones in a WIDE variety of different combinations and all will result in awesome skin tones!!!! You use what you have, and you'll be FINE! Promise!! Just keep layering until you're happy. Start light and work slowly slowly and gradually add in your shaded values and you'll be fine.
