The Women Achieving Greatness in Social Care Awards 2024

The Women Achieving Greatness in Social Care Awards (WAGS) recognise and celebrate the achievements of women leaders in social care and champion the efforts of a workforce that is 85% female. Many of these hard working, dedicated and talented women juggle the challenges of family life with their career. The purpose of WAGS is to promote gender equity, diversity and inclusion and celebrate the incredible achievements of our female leaders. Our inaugural awards for 2024 saw over 450 talented, hardworking and tenacious women in one room. Our co-host for the evening, TV personality Julia Bradbury, gave an impactful speech, sharing her own experiences with breast cancer before thanking these women for their efforts. The inaugural awards also saw support from Deputy Labour Leader, and former social care worker, Angela Rayner, who was delighted to share her words of support in our brochure.
