Here we have quite a special vehicle to appear on this channel, and a bus that I've been trying to catch for ages, former Dublin Bus RV508 with Ulsterbus in Coleraine as fleet number 2000! This was new in 1999 to Summerhill, and moved to Harristown in 2004 when it opened and remained in Harristown for its entire career with Dublin Bus until withdrawal and resale in 2011. It was acquired by Ulsterbus up in Coleraine, where it was converted to open-top and given fleet number 2000, it was allocated to route 177 which operated between Coleraine and Giant's Causeway until the demise of that route. It's now only used on routes 140a and 140b, which are circular routes which serve Coleraine, Portstewart, Portrush and back. This bus generally only sees use in the summer months due to it being open top, however due to vehicle shortages in Coleraine it got to see use much earlier this year.
