It's a long one, but I wanted to put a video together that has everything you need to setup a Caridina shrimp tank. Over time a formula for keeping these shrimp has emerged, but it might not be as obvious to new keepers. So, this is my Beginner Shrimp Tank Guide for people new to the hobby or new to Caridina who want to maximize their chances for success. Essentially, to have a successful beginner shrimp tank for caridina like CRS, CBS, Taiwan Bee, Tibee, Fancy Tigers, Pintos, etc. you need the following: a tank of at least 10 gallons, 20+ recommended a source of pure water (distilled, RO/DI, zerowater pitcher) + remineralizer active substrate that buffers the water (low pH, GH, KH) a filter, specifically an air-driven sponge filter botanicals, like driftwood or indian almond leaves shrimp food, specifically a protein-rich food and GlasGarten BacterAE Simple plants/moss And an aquarium light (can be super basic if you have easy mosses and other plants) I hope this helps anyone just starting out and setting up their first shrimp tank! Let me know if you have any questions or if I got something wrong :)
