Chris Kamara Opens Up On His ‘Apraxia’ In New Tell-All Memoir | Good Morning Britain

Chris Kamara, joins us for his first interview to speak about Kammy: My Unbelievable Life - his brand new memoir, which sees him share all on the 'unbelievable' stories spanning his 20 year career on the pitch across nine different clubs as well as his life off it, as a broadcasting national treasure! The book also sees Kammy delve into life before/after he was diagnosed with 'Apraxia of Speech', and in which he admits it led him to contemplating suicide - "I could only see myself as a burden. A shell of the man I used to be that they would be left to look after. I could never reconcile that image in my head. It was unthinkable. And it's at that point I'd think, 'They'd be better off without me'." The memoir also sees Kammy share hilarious anecdotes about meeting Princess Anne, how much he still misses his best mate Gary Speed, receiving his MBE at Windsor Castle in March, meeting Prince William (a fan!) as well as his gratitude, and love, for one his closest friends, ‘Shep’ (Ben).
