This is my master thesis project that I worked with for the last couple of months, where the main goal was to develop a prototype that can measure the knee joint mobilty for 24 hours in children with Cerebral Palsy (CP). This project was done at Lund University, LTH, Sweden from February 2019 - October 2019. Arduino was the microcontroller that was used and the knee joint angle was measured by using quaternions, a system of numbers in 4-D. The final results concluded that IMUs can be used for knee joint measurements, however, they provide drifting errors when used for a longer period. This is something that needs to be studied further.
