Losing David Bowie and Alan Rickman a few days apart was bloody awful qnd I wanted to pay tribute to them both in a mash up mural but was waiting on a large enough event, and the South Bristol Arts Trail 2016 was it. For my piece, which was 90″ x 140″ I mashed up both their most famous characters, Severus Snape and Aladdin Sane, the painting depicts Severus with the Aladdin Sane lightening across his face casting a David Bowie spell. I had the pleasure to paint live with some amazing artists, Hannah Adamaszek, Astrid Foreman and Liz Clayton, painting alongside such a great people makes the work better as you are laughing all the time.
