In this episode, we sit down with Becca Morris, Managing Director of Benchmark Recruit and Founder of Benchmark Pathways, to explore her inspiring journey and her passion for helping others achieve their full potential. Becca reflects on growing up as the daughter of two teachers, citing her mother as a particularly influential figure who inspired her to strive for excellence and empower others. This foundational influence set Becca on a path of discovery and growth, eventually leading her to Sheffield, where she moved to study Communication Studies at Sheffield Hallam University. She fell in love with the city as soon as she stepped off the train and has proudly called it home ever since. Her early career as a legal secretary and paralegal gave her a valuable insight into what she didn’t want to do, prompting a bold pivot into recruitment. Joining Benchmark Recruit in 2013. She loved the boutique-feel to the business and worked her way up, eventually becoming Managing Director and later acquiring the business through a successful management buyout (MBO). Today, she leads the company with a vision rooted in innovation and care. Recently, Becca launched Benchmark Pathways, her latest business venture offering personalised career coaching and mentoring support. Through this new initiative, she is dedicated to helping individuals and organisations across Sheffield and beyond unlock their potential and achieve meaningful success.
