Matching Mom and Baby Jackets | Sewing the Billie Pattern with Lining

In today's video, I'm sharing how I sewed matching mom and baby jackets for me and my daughter. I lined the jackets to give them a cozy and warm feel. These jackets took longer to sew than I originally hoped...but this made it an opportunity to refocus and really evaluate why I love to sew: for the process, not only the end product. Slower is often better and the end result helps show that! I used a cotton jacquard fabric from Merchant and Mills that gives this a quilt-coat-like feel. The fabric has a weight to it that is so cozy and comfortable to wear. Adding the lining, I took my time and probably took too many steps to get there by folding the facing beforehand but in the end, it was what worked for me. This is a good tutorial and pattern to use if you are wanting to learn some new skills and become more confident in sewing. Would you make matching mom and baby jackets?
