Brief Tour of the 2026 Tesla Model Y Premium AWD | Car Conversations

Today we are looking at the newly refreshed Tesla Model Y. The Model Y is Tesla’s best selling vehicle, and that continues for this 2026 model. The exterior has a radical redesign with a full length light bar and no Tesla badging. At the side are 19” wheels, but 20” wheels are optional. The Model Y still maintains its shape, which is good for aerodynamics. The rear end features an indirect light bar and revised fully LED taillights. The interior has been nicely revised, with new materials and an updated infotainment system. The seats are made of faux leather, and they are now ventilated. The steering wheel is finished in faux leather, and materials include lots of faux leather, some premium fabric, and felt lining for the door pockets and storage areas. Storage is quite good with a good sized center console, multiple cubbies, and two wireless phone chargers. The main infotainment controls everything from the shifter, the climate controls, and random fun things like customizing the horn. The screen is 16” and is incredibly responsive and easy to use. There is built in navigation, and all the functions like the headlights, adjusting the mirrors, controlling the back seats, and controlling charging is controlled through here, which can take getting used to. There are also high resolution cameras, but no 360 degree view. Overall, it is very easy to use the main system, and Tesla still does their software the best. The second row has plenty of space and features, like video games, entertainment, and media. In the trunk, there is plenty of space. There is 29 cubic feet behind the second row and 71 cubic feet when you power fold down those seats. Additionally, there is a cargo cover and storage under the floor. Thanks for watching!
