This video was filmed on 2022/05/13, 2 days before the platform closed. On 2022/05/14, the day before the East Rail Line cross-harbour extension opened, the old platform of Hung Hom Station arrived at its final passenger service day after 47 years of service. From 2022/05/15, East Rail Line trains will use the new platform to go across the harbour, and the old platform will turn into a parking area for trains. The only remaining part of the old platform that can be accessed by passengers is the Intercity train platform. However, the Intercity trains have suspended service since the start of COVID-19 till this day, with no signs of reopening.
