About Kaligandaki Corridor ⬇️ The Kaligandaki Corridor is one of Nepal’s important national pride projects, designed to connect the southern plains (Terai) to the northern Himalayas. It follows the Kaligandaki River and stretches approximately 435 kilometers from Sunauli (near the Indian border) to Korala (near the Chinese border). This road passes through several districts such as Rupandehi, Palpa, Syangja, Parbat, Baglung, Myagdi, Mustang, and reaches up to the remote area of Lo-Manthang. This corridor is expected to bring significant economic benefits by improving connectivity between India and China through Nepal. It will make the movement of goods, services, and people easier, faster, and more affordable. The road also opens up opportunities for cross-border trade, especially at the Korala border point, and helps in the economic upliftment of rural and mountainous areas that were previously difficult to reach.
