Children to grow up with full confidence - Child Safety Net project

Bangladesh is not only a source but also used as one of the transit routes for human trafficking. Poverty, unemployment, lack of awareness, child marriage and polygamy play a vital role for this problem. Alongside, the massive expansion of sex trade, easy border crossing to access the situation has increased human trafficking. To prevent human trafficking of women and children, World Vision Bangladesh, initiated a five-year long ‘Child Safety Net Project’ in 2011. The project aimed at reducing the risk of women and child trafficking and to create a protective environment for children. This project was financed by World Vision USA, Canada and Hong Kong and effectively working at 25 sub-districts in 9 districts of Khulna, Barisal and Dhaka division in Bangladesh. The project got phased-out in September, 2016. World Vision Dreams that Children will grow up with full of confidence in a child friendly environment.
