Rusty Parts, it's not all 1/4 panels and door bottom that rust away on an old vehicle sometimes its these weird but important little parts that succumb to the dreaded tin worm. I my case it's the Kick Panel wind lace retainer bracket thing. The piece is designed to hold the wind lace in place from the bottom of the front door post up to the dash and my drivers side retainer on my 1951 Chevrolet Fleetline Deluxe has had the main channel rot away to be no longer serviceable. In this video I set bout figuring out a way to rebuild the channel part to be able to hold the wind lace where it needs to live. The right-side retainer survived time in a much better state and just requires a bit of a clean-up and some rust convertor before painting. And finally, I set about replacing some of the missing factory head liner tack strip.
