In this ASMR Plumbing video I’m showing how to make your own DIY custom tap made out of copper and fittings. Customer request requested for me to make my own copper tap and I decided to use some press fittings as I think these look a bit more steampunk as they are a little bit bigger and chunky rather than the small solder fittings. I started off in certain some stem pipes which are mainly used for wall plates on outside taps as they have a female thread with a solid piece of copper pipe attached to them. This makes a great base as I’m able to screw it down in three points as well as connect underneath straight onto my isolation valve. I winding a male threaded fitting from Viega which allows me to press 15 mil copper pipe into the top and start building my tap. The shuttle valves are used are stopped taps as these have a decent working mechanism and I felt that they look the best rather than using some levers because when they’re in the off position they’re quite long. The best thing about using compression fittings for the valves is that if the customer wants to change him to something else it is easily able to do so. Using more Viega press fittings and make up to tap using two elbows and a T and then using my copper pipe bender I’ve bent my own spout with a sharkbite fitting to be able to make the spout swivel if you’d like today Plumbing video please give it a like a comment down below subscribe if you knew and I’ll see you on the next one!
