Lip Augmentation or Lip Enlargement is often sought for a problem of thin lips. Thin lips make the face look meaner. Full pouty lips are inviting and a well-shaped lip enhances the smile as well. Sometimes minimal "Gummy smile" can be corrected with only and Augmentation of the lips. Lip augmentation can be of the vermillion border or the body of the lips and is most commonly is done using a "Hyaluronic Acid Filler" which are temporary fillers. I do not advise or advocate a permanent filler in the lips which cannot be removed in case of a problem, without causing further damage to the lips. Fat injections can be done but the downtime is a lot more with the swelling staying for longer.
