Ariel: The Little Mermaid - Full Gameplay - Sega Genesis / Mega Drive

Ariel: The Little Mermaid is a classic Disney film that tells the story of a young mermaid who dreams of becoming human. This video game adaptation of the film doesn't allow players to experience Ariel's journey firsthand. Instead she goes on a murderous rampage through local marine life before cruelling butchering Ursula. In the game, players take control of Ariel as she swims through the ocean, explores sunken ships, and desperately tries to locate the ends of stages. Along the way, players will encounter familiar characters from the film, such as Sebastian, Flounder, and some other fish. The game features fairly decent graphics and music that will transport players to the magical world of Atlantis. The gameplay is also challenging, though unfortunately controls are slippery beyond all belief, adding a lot of artificial difficulty ontop of what is otherwise a relatively decent game. All in all though I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed this game. The graphics are beautiful, the music is catchy, and the gameplay is challenging and fun.
