Runde Research conducts its own nationally recognised research in collaboration with a wide range of institutions. Just as important is its role as a key hub for research on coastal ecology and other environmental issues. The station is home to marine biologists, oceanographers, and other researchers who carry out independent research projects and studies, both in collaboration with partners and on behalf of public and private organisations. Runde Research also welcomes visiting researchers and tenants, offering access to facilities such as boats, boathouses, laboratories, and office space.
