In part one of my Gourmet Cookie Series I’m showing you my version of Cereal & Milk Cookies. Full ingredients and recipe below. 👇🏾 2.5 cups of all-purpose flour 1 teaspoon of baking soda 1/2 teaspoon of salt 1/2 cup of unsalted butter, softened 1/2 cup of shortening 1.5 cups of brown sugar, packed 2 teaspoons of vanilla 2 large eggs Fruity Pebble cereal 12 oz bag white chocolate chips You will need: Mixing bowls Spatula Mixer Measuring cups/spoons Ice Cream Scoop (4 tablespoon or 1/4 cup) Baking Sheet Parchment Paper Mix flour, baking soda, and salt in a small bowl. In a separate bowl, beat butter and shortening until creamy. Add sugar and vanilla and beat with a mixer on medium speed until well blended. Beat in eggs, one at a time, mixing well. Add flour mixture to your wet ingredients, and mix just enough to incorporate the flour. Do not over-mix. Fold in white chocolate chips Chill dough for at least 2 hours Scoop 1/4 cup of dough and roll into ball Semi-flatten and press Fruity Pebbles into top of dough and place on baking sheet 2-3 inches apart. Bake at 350 F for 11 minutes or until the edges are golden. After removing from the oven add more Fruity Pebbles to top of cookies, then allow cookies to cool on the pan. MAKES 10-12 LARGE COOKIES
