Employer Spotlight: Health and Human Services (HHS) Administration for Children and Families Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) Unaccompanied Children (UC) Program’s National Network of Community Based Residential Care Providers Description of agency/office: The Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR), an office of the Administration for Children and Families (ACF) under the U.S Department of Health and Human Services, provides new populations with the opportunity to achieve their full potential in the United States. ORR provides care and placement for unaccompanied children who enter the United States from other countries without an adult guardian. Description of webinar: As alumni and returned Peace Corps and AmeriCorps volunteers, you are mission-driven professionals with a focus on human-centered services. Based on your skills and experience, on August 5, 2021 from 1:30-2:00 PM EST, you’re invited to join a recruitment webinar hosted by Health and Human Services’ (HHS) Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) to learn about the crucial roles they are recruiting for across the national community-based provider network, and how you can be a part of their important work. This 30-minute webinar will focus on ORR’s work to assist Unaccompanied Children (UC) who arrive in the United States without a guardian and are placed in youth residential programs. ORR is helping to recruit needed permanent employees to serve in these programs across the country. Staff are hired to provide various roles (from youth care worker to case manager) with the shared purpose to nurture and care for children in temporary residential settings as children complete the process to be unified quickly and safely with family or sponsors in the United States. The webinar will consist of ORR leaders sharing more information about this important work, employment opportunities available at residential settings, and how interested applicants can apply and receive more information on these critical roles. Please navigate to www.togetherthevoice.org/UCjobs to find a listing of all the licensed provider programs with open employment positions. You’ll be able to directly navigate to the individual provider websites to see open position needs and directly apply.
