It has been 3 or 4 years since I last done an Iron Butt ride. The desire to ride 1000 miles in less than 24 hours became to great. When I looked at the weather forecast, I told Jen I was doing it in the next day or 2. My planning for this ride was: 1. Find a location 500 miles away. 2. NO Interstate Highways. Well, I found the town of Ewing, NE was pretty much a straight shot west, according to Google Maps it was 502 miles away, and I could do it with only a couple state highways and US Highway 20. That was it. No planned gas locations or nothing. I literally just jumped on the bike and left. I did have a couple minor issues along the way. But, I don't want to spoil the video.
