A wildlife rescue organization that has helped thousands of animals in the Kansas City area is closing one of its locations, but its founder says the mission will continue. Wild Souls Rescue announced it will close its Blue Springs facility on May 1 and consolidate operations at its Lone Jack location. Founder April Hoffman said the decision comes after a series of difficult events over the past two years, including unexpected facility issues and the sudden loss of her husband, Doug, who played a key role in the organization.
