What you need to do is not let your fear take control of you. You need to stay focused and alert. Having said that, never downgrade yourself over being scared and feeling weak. You need to have faith in yourself and you'll be able to focus on defending against your opponent. The more you fight your fear, the more you'll fight with yourself. You need to accept the fact that you might experience flight syndrome while trying to defend yourself. It's completely normal. Just don't belittle yourself and feel bad about it.
