Electric Toyota 4runner built for King of the Hammers! Will Spec Garage

This is "E.V.E" ( Electric Vehicle Experiment) a 1986 Toyota 4runner originally built by Dave Cole and raced by his son Bailey Cole in Mexico for the NORRA 1000. Yes it has also finished King of the Hammers and a lot of regional ultra 4 races with the 22re gas engine. After some years sitting in a field fast forward to 2021 the old Toyota is getting a face lift with a 2015 Nissan Leaf Electric motor & battery swapped into it. The goal is to race King of the Hammers 2021 as a debut to the first year EV cars are allowed to race Offroad at Hammers! The team consists of Will Barrameda, Kyle Seggelin, Jaymes Massa & Jeff Webb. What a privilege to meet these guys and spend a couple days following them around with cameras as they start this journey into uncharted waters!
