------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ What happens when a Sage of Beans runs out of motivation for other games? He plays PokeRogue, that's what. Follow me as I play through one of the best roguelike games I have ever played: PokeRogue! As we all know, roguelike refers to the genre of game that has you partake in play sessions where you explore, fight, and collect upgrades, all to ultimately fail in the most annoying way! Then, you typically start from scratch again and hope that RNG is on your side this time. Some roguelikes allow you to carry some upgrades or currency back from your failed runs to try again a little stronger! As a member of the roguelike genre, PokeRogue begins you with a selection of starter Pokemon, and gives you a limited number of points each run. You spend those points on Pokemon of varying strength, indicated by their cost, and hope to make it as far as possible! As you do, Pokemon you catch can be used in that run, and are catalogued for later runs, allowing you to take the MVPs of your runs with you again... starting from level 5 (because balance). So what is the goal of this stream series? Well, to acquire as many Legendary and Mythical Pokemon as possible, of course!
