You will learn how to clone a full hard disk from one Linux machine to another using only: a direct Ethernet connection the tools dd and netcat No USB drive, no external storage, and no internet connection are required. 🎓 Educational objectives: Understand disk cloning concepts Practice Linux networking basics (static IPs) Use dd for low-level disk operations Transfer data over the network using netcat Monitor progress using pv 🧪 Lab requirements: Two Linux machines (source & destination) Ethernet cable (cross or via switch) Administrator (sudo) privileges ⚠️ Important warning: This lab will erase all data on the destination disk. Make sure the destination disk is at least the same size as the source disk and do not invert source and destination.
