This is my version of the classic hymn "Be Thou My Vision" off my 2008 "Coffee Shop Songs" CD featuring some mixed time changes and flute & violin. For those who don't know flute was actually my first instrument long before I picked up guitar so it was fun to get to blow some flute on this track. For this version I added a chorus with additional lyrics from Psalm 119:105 in addition to the original words from the 8th Century Irish Hymn by Dallan Forgaill. Once again this song was recorded and produced by my good friend Nick Garrett-Powell who also sings harmonies on this track. Thanks to Deborah Katz for playing violin on this song with us too!
