The ancient Agboyi Kingdom played host to the official flag-off of the EKOSHA Rural Health Scheme, a Lagos State Government initiative aimed at improving healthcare delivery in rural and riverine communities. HIGHLIGHTS OF THE EVENT: The ceremony was graced by HRM Oba (Engr.) Monsuru Abimbola Oladega (Akinmasa I), the 4th Olu of Agboyi, alongside other traditional rulers Presence of Baales, white-cap chiefs, and dignitaries from across Lagos State LASHMA team led by Dr Emmanuel Zamba, Permanent Secretary, commended the state government for extending quality healthcare to underserved communities Cultural displays by Oje Agboyi and Gelede dance groups showcased the rich heritage of Agboyi Kingdom Oba Monsuru Oladega lauded the Lagos State Government for prioritizing the health and welfare of rural dwellers Unveiling of the Mobile Health Clinic, officially launching the programme Over 300 residents registered on-site and benefited from free medical consultations, health screenings, and medicines Target of 5,000 enrollees set for the first phase OLU OF AGBOYI'S APPEAL: His Majesty appealed for a permanent healthcare facility within Agboyi to sustain the state's health mission.
