Enghelab Square (former name: 24 Esfand Square or Mojasane Square) is a square in Tehran, which is located at the intersection of Enghelab, Kargar and Azadi streets. This square is considered one of the main squares in Tehran. Access to other areas of the city, many people pass through this square every day. This square is the cultural heart of the capital due to its proximity to the University of Tehran and the existence of most bookstores and publications around it. Before the Revolution of 1978, this square named 24 Esfand that was equal to the birthday of Reza Shah Pahlavi and for this reason a statue of Reza Shah Pahlavi was erected in the middle of this square. For this reason, this square was also called the Mojasame (Statue) Square. During the revolution, the name of this square was changed to Enghelab (Revolution) Square and the statue was pulled down.
