Dublin is full of places that feel straight out of a fantasy film and this is where the Harry Potter rumours begin. In this video, I explore Dublin Castle and the legendary Book of Kells at Trinity College, two of the most iconic historic sites in Ireland. You might’ve heard (especially on Reddit 👀) that Harry Potter was filmed inside the Book of Kells library honestly, it wasn’t. The Hogwarts-style library vibes are very real, which is probably why the rumour refuses to die, but no Harry Potter scenes were actually filmed here. Still, standing inside one of the world’s oldest and most beautiful libraries feels magical enough on its own. Dublin Castle, on the other hand, is massive it once served as the seat of British rule in Ireland for over 700 years. Today, only a small portion (one main floor) is open to the public for exhibitions, but even that glimpse gives you a sense of how powerful and layered this place really is. Beneath it all, parts of the original Viking settlement still exist. This video is less about myths… and more about the real history that’s just as cinematic..
