Sermon Text: Revelation 12:1-12 A great sign appears in heaven: a woman clad in the sun with a crown of stars and standing on the moon. She represents the Church of God throughout all time, hoping and praying for a Messiah. This woman is about to give birth to him, and does so in pain. Truly, we have experienced the pain of sin and its consequences in this world, so we definitely need a Saviour. Satan, however, tries to consume Christ. Satan thrives on accusing us of our sins and he desires Christ's throne in heaven. Yet, Christ defeats Satan by refusing the serpent's temptations and by breaking the power of sin at the cross. That's what people saw, but there was also a war in heaven where Satan was cast down. No longer can he accuse us of sin. When we are in Christ, our sins are forgiven and we cannot be accused of them anymore. Christ has won the victory.
