Cedar forests aren’t just green spaces—they’re living ecosystems. The air in these forests is practically sterile, filled with phytoncides and the fresh scent of resin. These trees don’t just grow; they cleanse the environment and fill it with life. 🌱✨ In 2024, we launched our cedar-growing project, and now, in 2025, we’re moving forward—planting new varieties and transplanting our first saplings. 🌳🌍 Our first big goal? To grow 1,000 cedars and plant them throughout the FluRArium eco-center in Snydavka and the surrounding areas. We’re creating a lush, green space that will become home to these incredible trees. 🏞️🌿 And the key word here is grow. We want our cedars to go through the full journey—from tiny seeds to strong, resilient trees, fully adapted to the rugged mountain climate. 🌄🌲 Why does this matter? Over the years, we’ve planted tons of trees, but not all of them survived. It was a challenge for them to adapt to the extreme conditions of the mountains—wild temperature swings, dry spells, tough competition with native species. The missing piece? Genetic adaptation. Many of the trees we planted weren’t naturally suited for high-altitude survival. 🌬️❄️ That’s why we decided to grow our cedars right here, from the very beginning. By sprouting seeds in the same environment where they’ll grow, the trees will gradually adapt to the local climate from day one. 🌱🏔️ Our goal isn’t a quick result. It’s strong, healthy trees that will stand for centuries. Nature’s way is a path of patience, wisdom, and balance. ☯️🌳 We started by sprouting seeds of the European cedar pine, collected in the Ivano-Frankivsk region. Local genetics offer the highest survival rate in our climate. The seeds went through stratification for three to four months at a steady +4°C. 🌡️🟢 When we plant, we consider everything—moisture, soil acidity, even the lunar cycles. Nature doesn’t rush. And for this project, we’ve added another experiment—pyramids, positioned according to the cardinal directions. Inspired by ancient technologies, these structures help regulate soil conditions and energy flow. 🏕️🔺 We believe that decades from now, our cedars will become part of the Carpathian legacy. 🌍🌲✨
