Upstander Training Workshop On September 17, 2025, the Upstander Training Workshop, hosted by Red Deer Local Immigration Partnership (RDLIP), brought together community members at the Snell Auditorium, Red Deer Public Library to explore how individuals can safely and effectively respond to discrimination, harassment, and exclusion in everyday situations. This interactive and practical workshop focused on building awareness, confidence, and skills to move from being a bystander to an upstander. Participants learned about different forms of bias and harm, explored real-life scenarios, and practiced strategies for intervening in ways that prioritize safety, respect, and inclusion.
