Filey Beach ,Coble Landing ,Filey Brigg. Filey is a small town and civil parish in North Yorkshire, England. Historically part of the East Riding of Yorkshire, it is part of the borough of Scarborough between Scarborough and Bridlington on the North Sea coast. Although it was a fishing village, it has a large beach and became a popular tourist resort. Filey Brigg is a long narrow peninsula situated about a mile north of Filey, North Yorkshire. Its steep cliffs are 20 metres high and consist of a variety of material, from pure sandstone to pure limestone. Filey Coble Landing is a cobbled and concrete structure at the north end of Filey beach. It has historically dated back to the roman times in the late 4th Century when Filey brigg was used as a safe harbour. Since this time until recently the local fishing trade had thrived.
