Interpretive Portraits - An Experimental Film

A Hi-8 camcorder shooting the subjects live was fed into a CRT television with an AV to Coaxial adapter. That television displaying the live feed of the subjects was then photographed 216 times on 35mm Black and White film which I then developed and scanned in 4k. Each of the 216 frames were then individually Photoshopped to balance exposure. Each of those refined frames were then imported into Premiere Pro and edited to achieve the final product. This project was submitted as a final assignment for a dark room class taught by Janice Levy. Special thanks to her for being so kind, inspiring, and a mentor to me through the process of learning how to shoot and process my own film negatives.
