Meet Yama Kurai, The ORIGIN of Yama Tsukami

Yama Kurai is an Origin Species of Yama Tsukami, first introduced in Monster Hunter Frontier G8. Yama Kurai is a colossal elder dragon that has only ever been encountered in the Highland. Considered an "Origin Species" due to it retaining its ancient appearance, Yama Kurai is thought to be closely related to Yama Tsukami. Although Yama Kurai is considered an Origin Species, it is unknown if it is Yama Tsukami's ancestor, a separate older species, or just an extremely old Yama Tsukami. All of the plants found on Yama Kurai can't be found anywhere else in Mezeporta, and these plants are nourished by the body fluids that flow throughout Yama Kurai's body. The more fluids the plants absorb, the more they'll grow.
