We explore the enchanting Spice Islands of Indonesia, visiting the volcanic Banda Islands, nutmeg plantations, historic forts and vibrant local villages. This episode includes street‑food tasting, snorkelling over volcanic coral, meeting local families and fitting a new engine alarm on Nutshell. We take Peanut on a fairly long trip to a nearby island where we walk up to the nutmeg plantation. We are invited to one of the guide’s homes and see the system of harvesting and processing nutmeg first hand. We head into town and test out the local street foods. Wendy does a snorkel on a nearby island which has interesting coral shaped by the volcanic rock. We take a stroll up to Fort Belgica and check out the local village.
