As I said in the video, link to my discord is here   / discord   Background - The Polish army mobilized on the 29th of August, cancelled the mobilization, then mobilized again on the 30th of August. The Polish army was massively under prepared for the invasion, with only a few of its cavalry regiments becoming motorised (given armoured vehicles instead of horses). Yet despite this, the poles put up a heroic fight, which would continue throughout the war, during the countries long occupation. The making of this video took many hours, and a lot was put into research, especially as there was a big contradiction between the information provided by my uniforms and Wikipedia, as Wikipedia labeled the Lancer regiments as 'Uhlan regiments' whilst both of my uniform books referred to them as 'lancer regiments' so it took some time to realize that they were really both talking about the same thing. The video is a small summary of various uniforms from the Polish Army during 1939, some of which I chose to draw for specific reasons. For example the 18th Pomeranian Uhlans were some of the first regiments to respond to the invasion of Poland. This regiment in particular made an epic charge against the German 76th Infantry Regiment on the very first day of the invasion.
