We all know that our native birds need our help in lots of ways. One of the best things we can do for them is to provide a decent nest box for the breeding season. Time is ticking on and Spring is just around the corner!! Boxes should ideally be put up in Autumn but if your quick and get them up they'll be fine.Last year I put a box up in a new location and the Pied Flycatchers were in within 2 hours!!! This isn't a complicated build and can be constructed with basic tools. With the weather so naff at the moment what better reason is there to get in the workshop or garage and knock up a few of these much needed avian structures.
