Site tour of NAKBE | Is it really the most ancient MAYA city in the lowlands?

NAKBE is known as the most ancient site in all the MAYA lowlands. Archeologist says this is where it all begins in the lowlands...even before EL MIRADOR said to be occupied around 1000 B.C... and they say NAKBE is around 1500 B.C. But to me this doesnt make sense. Because even if the site of NAKBE is not well excavated, we can still appreciate a giant pyramid. So my question is... "If this is the first site. The mother of all. Where are the baby step to learn how to make giant pyramids?" :) You don't just wake up one day and know how to perfectly build those giant structures align North/South East/West with those huge sculpted stones. So is it really the first site? :P Also here you will see some experimentation done by some researchers in order to understand how the MAYA source their stones in quarries, sculpted their stones with basic tools and transport their stones to eventually build those giant temples.
