So patient can get severe pain whenever the stone comes and gets stuck in the ureter which connects kidney to the bladder then patient can have blood in the urine. Suppose still patient neglects then the kidney will swell. Suppose stone is in the kidney if it is small stone we can give it medication, it will pass out. If it's little bigger one you can do lithotripsy that is without any surgery from outside. We will water the stone it will come out in the urine. A little bigger one we do what we call RIRS that means Retrograde Internal Surgery using laser or we make a puncture into the kidney. Directly you remove the stone making it pieces and suppose if one is in the ureter we remove it through uretroscopy within the bladder. We remove the cystoscope. So different sizes of the stones will be managed differently by non-invasive minimal invasive procedures. So please don't neglect the stones. Almost 90 percent stones can be treated with medications only without any surgery or any interventions. Only if you neglect with complications then we require different types of treatments.
