Guitar Tuner: NASHVILLE Tuning (high-strung tuning) This particular tuning is quite unique as the guitar is still tuned as normal (E, A, D, G, B, E) however, the bottom 4 strings (E, A, D and G strings) are all tuned up an octave with the top 2 strings (B and high E-string) remaining tuned as normal. you Shouldn't use regular strings for this tuning , they will break WARNING: you MUST use the proper string gauge for this tuning Recommendation: You can take the high octave strings within a 12-string set and put them on a the top 4 strings of your 6-string guitar. Or you can use the regular first 2 strings of a guitar and for the rest you can use the following gauges: STRINGS - NOTE - OCTAVE: 1 = E (4) 0.010 2 = B (3) 0.014 3 = G (4) 0.009 4 = D (4) 0.012 5 = A (3) 0.018 6 = E (3) 0.026 The numbers between "()" indicate the octave of the note selected, to differenciate it from the others with the same name, it basically says which pitch for that note to play I made this tuner for you to practice your ear skills. Try to tune your instrument while hearing these notes. All the tuners I make are in A 440 Hz note as reference.
