Boatwork has been nonstop these past few weeks as we prepare our Selene Yachts Classic 49ft Trawler for a massive passage—crossing the Pacific Ocean from West to East. We’re so excited to get underway, but there’s still a long list of projects before this yacht is ocean-ready! So this week, we took a much-needed break from the tools and sanding to explore more of Australia. 🚤🇦🇺 We left Boatworks and cruised to downtown Gold Coast where we anchored for the weekend. Exploring Gold Coast City was incredible—until a huge lightning storm rolled in with heavy winds and hail. Luckily, by morning the boat was safe and undamaged, but we had to head back quickly to avoid another system… and we barely made it in time.
