In this video I break down a simple yet nasty g3 setup against the Sicilian Kan — a line that is easy to learn, light on theory, and incredibly uncomfortable for Black to face. Instead of memorising long variations, White focuses on a clear setup that leads to aggressive attacking scenarios, often based on standard Nd5 sacrifice ideas. I analyse two instructive games: one of my own, and one played by Jazzmonton. In both examples you’ll see how White uses the g3–Bg2 setup to generate initiative, exploit typical Kan inaccuracies, and launch dangerous attacks without needing heavy theoretical knowledge. This is an ideal Anti-Kan weapon for club players who want a reliable system they can play again and again, while still creating real attacking chances against Sicilian Kan players.
