There are 100 Hidden Packages located all around Vice City, which the player must find and collect while on foot. These items cannot be collected while on a vehicle. Their design seems to be based on mid-century modern Mesoamerican resin figurines[1]. After completing the mission Rub Out, a broken hidden package will appear on the bar counter at the Ocean View Hotel room, revealing the package contains a white powder. These statues are a reference towards the twelfth episode of the first season of Miami Vice, "Milk Run", where similar cocaine-filled statues are used for smuggling. Collecting all Hidden Packages is a requirement for the 100% completion. 10 Packages: Body Armor 20 Packages: Chainsaw 30 Packages: .357 40 Packages: Flamethrower 50 Packages: .308 Sniper 60 Packages: Minigun 70 Packages: Rocket Launcher 80 Packages: Sea Sparrow spawns in the rear side of the Vercetti Estate. 90 Packages: Rhino spawns at the Fort Baxter Air Base. 100 Packages: $100,000 Hunter spawns at the Fort Baxter Air Base (alternatively unlocked after Keep Your Friends Close...).
