2023 Neurosurgery Post-CaRMS Panel

We were thrilled to have hosted several incoming Neurosurgery PGY-1 Residents from across the country at CaMSIGN. As part of our educational mission, the purpose of that session was to have a panel that helped aspiring medical students learn valuable information as they prepared for their future applications to Canadian neurosurgical residency programs. The panelists discussed their experiences with the CaRMS process, why they had chosen neurosurgery, their trajectories in matching to neurosurgery, and answered questions related to a variety of topics such as components of a competitive application, obtaining reference letters, doing electives, impressing preceptors, and other pertinent information.
