DIY Macrame Tutorial: Heart Pattern with a Twist

How to make a macrame heart pattern with a twisted design in the center! Please see below for materials and written instructions. Hi everyone! Today I have a really fun DIY heart pattern for your macrame wall hangings and other artwork. This design is made using Double Half Hitch Knots. I also have a few other macrame heart designs for you to enjoy which is in the playlist titled "macrame heart patterns." 🧵 ROPE USED: Niroma Studios 4mm 3PLY: http://bit.ly/2WmJejA Set Up: Cut 6 pieces of rope each 5ft (1.5m) long, and attach them each to your dowel rod with a Lark's Head knot. Step 1: Use the third cord from the left as your filler cord and tie two Double Half Hitch knots (DHHKs) around it working down and to the left. Step 2: Use the fourth cord from the left as your filler cord and tie two DHHKs around it working down and to the right. Step 3: Use the fourth cord from the right as your filler cord and tie two DHHKs around it working down and left. Step 4: Take the two cords directly in the middle and attach them by tying one DHHK. Step 5: Take the third cord from the right and tie two DHHKs around it working down and to the right. Step 6: Tie five DHHKs around both the cord on the far left, and the cord on the far right. Tie the first two knots using the left cords. Then skip the next three cords and cross the following three cords over to the left to tie the remaining three DHHKs. Repeat this process on the right side.
