Make a camera out of a tin can and a scrap of thin aluminum. Begin by drilling a 3/8" hole in the side of the can. Then coat the inside of the can with flat black spray paint. Use a needle to "drill" a tiny hole in the piece of aluminum. Sand down the burrs around the edge of the pinhole. Tape the pinhole to the can, centering it over the larger hole, then make a "shutter" out of a piece of black sticky tape. You are almost done. In a dark room, load the camera with film or photographic paper. Expose the film or paper by putting the camera out in bright sunlight, planting it squarely on the ground and opening the shutter. Don't move the camera while you leave the shutter open for as long as necessary to expose the film or paper inside. Close the shutter by putting the strip of electrician's tape back over the pinhole. Process the film in photographic developer. Wash it and dry it, then hold it up to a bright light to see how your photograph came out using one of the earliest kinds of cameras. You've done it! You've made a pinhole camera! Congratulations!
