Do Martin Guitars sound different as they age? If you buy a brand new guitar and play it for 20 years, will its tone change over time? In which ways can guitars sound different over time? Do they get louder or quieter? Brighter or bassier? If it's true that guitars sound different as they get older, which sound do YOU prefer? This video is a companion piece to a LIVEstream, hosted by Aaron Short. Here's a link to the archived video: • Old Guitars Vs New Aaron and I compared the 2021 Martin OM-28 to my personal Martin OM-28V built in 1998. Unmodified OM-28Vs from the late 1990s had long through saddles, but my personal guitar was retrofitted with a new bridge in 1999. This means that except for the mod V neck on my 1998 Martin -both of these guitars are THE SAME structurally. Bone nut & saddle with plastic pins. Same bracing, same body size, same scale length and same "everything". Do you hear a difference? If so, how would you describe the changes? Which do you prefer & why? 00:00 00:01 Fingerstyle 00:57 Strumming Buy the 2021 Martin OM-28 here: https://www.maurysmusic.com/inc/sdeta...
