Ever wonder about your worth, purpose, design? Do you know the difference between being nice, kindness, and gentleness? What is the Power of Creation I talk about using to empower? In a world filled with so much contention and strife...what is your role in what is created? These are a few of the things we will dive into this next month! This is the 5th in a 10 month series on the fruits of the Spirit. Each month will have the elements below, with a video like this posted on the 1st of the month introducing theme...and whatever related topics the Spirit directs in the weeks following will be posted on my SimplyCreatingBeauty Instagram page. (I don't have time to edit videos every week for both here and Insta, sorry.) For this month... Fruit of the Spirit (found in Galatians 5:22-23): Gentleness Title: Divinely Creating with Purpose Action Verb: Empowering...…others to find the joy found in creating to simply meet needs in family, community, and the world...and by serving, strengthening, uplifting, and supporting the children of God in drawing closer to Him and feeling His love. Scripture: 2 Timothy 2:24-26 (New Testament) As a servant of the Lord, we must not “strive” or contend; but are asked to be gentle to all, “apt” or ready to teach, patient, humbly instructing those working against themselves (fear, anxiety, etc); preparing them for God to aid them in seeing the truth; so that THEY may recover themselves from the snare of the devil, who is the author of the lies (creating the fear, anxiety, etc). Analogies: We came into existence and our value lies in external connections and achievements which determine our worth. vs You are Divinely Created with Purpose by your Creator who sees you, knows you, and loves you as you are! Challenges: Ponder and record: What is one aspect of yourself that was divinely created to give you purpose in a greater plan? Find one step you can do to be more gentle with yourself and others while still learning the purpose with which you/they were created …and act!
